Month Of September

Billy-
This month I read Arthurs First Kiss by Marc Brown. It’s about Arthur and how he goes to Francine’s birthday, Francine and her friedns play a kissing game and Arthur and Francine both get chosen to kiss each other but D.W. see’s Francine try to kiss Arthur so she runs in and grabs him. Where will D.W. take him? Read the book to find out. The genre of this book is Fantasy. I recommend this book to you because it’s funny.

This month I read Weird but True 3, by National Geographic. This book has 300 outrageous facts. Some of them are: Dolphins may be smarter than monkeys, and the earth weighs about 6,600,000,000,000,000,000,000 metric tons and if you want to find out more read the book. The genre is informational. I like this book because if someone asks me about it, I will know the answer.

I read a book called The Secret City Under The Sea by Paul S. Newman.
 It is about a duck named Scrooge. He was reading a newspaper when something caught his eye. A gold coin was found on the beach. It said Atlantis 1888. As they thought it came from Atlantis. So they got a submarine. They went underwater. When they turned the spotlight on, laser came out instead. They turned it off then they saw Atlantis. They stopped but strong guards put them in prison. Will they escape? Read to find out. The genre of the book is fantasy. I recommend this book to you because it is exciting.

This month I read “Samantha Learns a Lesson” by Susan A. Adler. It is about a girl named Samantha. Samantha gets news that her long lost friend Nellie is going to live two houses away and Nellie can go to school! At school Samantha has homework to make a report about progress in America. The 12 best reports would be read to a speaking club. At school, Nellie has been treated badly. Samantha opens a school so Nellie can learn while being treated fairly. About the report, well, Samantha made it about factories. Later, Nellie tells Samantha that factories actually hurt children. What will Samantha do? Will she do the right thing? Read to find out! “Samantha Learns a Lesson” is Historical Fiction. I recommend this book to you because it teaches that you must do what is right, even if everyone else thinks it’s wrong.

This month I read Big Nate by Lincoln Pierce. It’s about a boy who reads a fortune that says, “ You will surpass all others today.” So he tried to surpass all others, but instead he got in seven detentions. Will Nate surpass all others or not? Read to find out! The genre is realistic fiction. I liked this book because it was funny and good.

Naina~
This month I read a book called : The Berenstein Bears Homework Hassle By: Stan Berenstain. This story is about when Brother Bear isn’t doing his homework and his teacher sends a note home asking that he wasn’t doing homework. He doesn’t show the note. When Papa and Mama Bear see the note stuffed in his backpack they show and ask Brother Bear why he didn’t show it. Papa Bear says to do all his homework. Will Brother Bear do all his homework? Read to find out.! The genre of this book is Fantasy. I recommend this book to you because like how I wanted to move on and read!

Nikhil~
A few months ago, I read “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” by J.B. Mowling. In this book, Harry P. goes to “Hogwarts” and discovers his true potential as a wizard. He then makes two friends: Ron Weasley and Hermoine Granger. Together, they unravel the mysterious legend about something called The Sorcerer’s Stone. Then they travel deeper into Hogwarts to see it. Read to find out if they will discover the stone! The genre of this book is fantasy. I recommend it to you because it’s filled with action and you can be sure there’s always something strange around the corner!

This month I read No Talking by Andrew Clements. It’s all about boys and girls who challenge each other about who can talk the least. They agreed that that there will be only 3 word answers to the teachers. Who will win, boys or girls? Read to find out! The genre of this book is Realistic Fiction. I liked this book because it’s funny how the teachers try to find out what’s happening.

This month I read Fannie in the Kitchen by Deborah Hopkinson. It is about a girl named Marcia who is her mother’s little helper. Marcia can make perfectly long candles, wash clothes till they’re spotless and polish oil lamps till they shined. Marcia thought mama was lucky to have a helper like her. When Mama announced a girl named Fannie Farmer was coming to stay and be her little helper, Marcia was furious and thought that she couldn’t cook at all. Wrong, Fannie could cook! What will happen with Marcia and Fannie? Read to find out! The genre of this book is historical fiction. The reason I recommend it is because, #1, it gives handy cooking tips, and #2, it teaches a lesson on cooking.

This month I read, Arthur Acuused  by Marc Brown. This book is about a boy named Arthur and he is raising money for the fire department to buy a new puppy. Mr. Haney the principle said, “ If you don’t give the money to Mrs. McGrady the cafeteria lady, he won’t be able to go to the picnic.” But when Arthur goes there, Mrs. McGrady is on the phone. Arthur is trying to get her attention. Arthur needs to go somewhere. So he leaves it aside. On the day of the picnic Mr. Haney said Mrs. McGrady doesn’t have the money. What do you think happen to the quarters and Arthur? Read to find out. The genre is mystery. I recommend this book to you because it is very attempting to read it and know what happens to the quarters and Arthur.

Jillian~ This month I read Believe It Or Not by Ripley. It is about all these people that do amazing things that no one would ever think of doing. One of the pages talks about some people that are so afraid of sharks that they are unable to swim, even in a pool. Read it to find out more amazing stuff. This book is Genred Non-Fiction. I recommend it because it is fun to read and unbelievable.

Ada~ This month I read Rotten Ralph by Jack Gantos. It’s about a cay who’s really naughty. Once, he sawed off the branch when his owner Sarah was swinging on a swing. One day Sarah’s father came home early from work and saw that Ralph was sitting on Sarah’s Dad’s favorite chair. Ralph was wearing his slippers and blowing soap bubbles through his best pipe. One evening, the whole family went to the circus. Everyone was having a good time except for Ralph. A dog was barking in his ear so he got balloons and tied it to the dogs collar. The dog started floating away. Then he ruined everyone’s act in the circus. Then Sarah’s father leaves him behind in the circus. Whst will happen to Ralph? Read to find out. The genre of this book is Fantasy. I liked it because it teaches a good lesson.

This month I read The Empty Envelope by Ron Ray. It’s about a boy named Dink and his friends who got five mysterious letters. They find a very valueble stamp. A woman says it’s hers, but it isn’t. Will Dink and his friends give the stamp to the woman? Read the book to find out! The genre this book is Mystery. I liked it because it is very interesting.

This week I read Big Nate Strikes Again by Licoln Pierce. It’s where Nate  is tryin gto win the spofff trophy. (Sports player only for fun!) But he has one bad person on his team Gina! He  wins a few games. But when its the Psyco Dogs vs the Rapters he gets nerves Gina will lose the game for him! The genre is realistick fiction. But I recommend it because it is very funny and creates suspense. Read this book to find out who wins?

This month I read A Jigsaw Jones Mystery Book The Case of Hermie the Missing Hamster by James Preller. This book is about Jigsaw Jones trying to find Wingnut’s hamster. Jigsaw Jones finds clues and figured out that Mila, his partner caughs when she is near furry stuff. Will Jigsaw Jones and Mila find Wingnut’s hamster?  Read the book to fid out. This book is a Mystery. I recommend this book to you because the book and ending is very interesting.

This month I read The Emerald Casket by Danny Johnson. It’s about four explorers who go around the world to find a specific emerald casket that has the power to do anything. The emerald casket is guarded by a king. The four explorers end up in India and they find the emerald casket but the king is right in front of the emerald casket guarding it. Then see all four of the explorers and they all have a big fight. Will the friends beat the king and get the emerald casket? Read to find out! The genre of this book is mystery. I liked it ibecause it is very detailed.

Ronith

This week I read Magic School Bus Inside a Bee Hive and it is by Joanna Cole. Its about this crazy teacher and her crazy adventure. What happens is they turn into bees and then all sorts of crazy things happen. Then the two queens fight. At least the class doesn’t get hurt. Then a huge bear comes out and starts eating the honey. Will the class be stuck in the bee form forever?! Read this exciting book to find out. The genre of this book is fantasy. I liked the book because the book makes you feel like you are on the adventure.


Harrison

This month I read Goosebumps CSay Cheese and Die! by R.L. Stine. It’s about four people Michal Greg Shari and Doug (but people call him Bird). They go in an abandoned building and they find a camera. They take a picture of Michal and it shows him on the floor with a sprained knee. But he was standing up. Then what happened in the picture really happened. What is wrong with the camera? Read to find out! The genere is mystery. I recommend it because it is mysterious. Could the camera tell tehe future?


Khushi

Last month I read Diary of a Whimpy Kid Dog Days by Jeff Kinney. Its about Greg not wanting to go outside in summer acation. But mom does so Greg is forced out of the house. Also he broke his best friend relationship with Rowley so this summer he is alone with his family. Greg is wondering what will happen in the school year will he thinks he will be one of those lame guys who goes on a family trip. Will Greg get a chance to fix things with Rowley or even better, make mom cancel the family trip? Read the book to find out! The genre of the book is non-fiction. I liked this book because I think this book is funny and it has some lessons you can learn about.


I read Magic Puppy by Sue Bentley. It’s about a magical wolf named Storm who can turn into a puppy. A mean wolf named Shadow killed Storm’s father, brothers, and gave storm’s mom, Canista, to a poisonous bite. Shadow wants to kill Storm and lead the moom claw puck! Will Storm and Canista survive? Read to find out! The genre of this book is fantasy. I liked it because it’s exciting and makes you want to read on. Storm has really interesting magical powers!
