Domain/Hosting Plans:
The first thing you'll need is a domain name (www.yourwebsite.com). You'll also need to find a company to host your website, or place it on the internet. I STRONGLY recommend Netfirms. I've used it for years, and am familiar with the company, and how they work. If you use Netfirms, we'll be able to work a little easier together, since I am so acquainted with the system. They charge $4.95 for the domain name, and the cheapest plan they have for hosting is $4.95 a month ($59.40 a year). You'll have to set that up with them yourself, but it's an extremely fast and easy process. There are customer service representatives available 24 hours a day, and all you need to worry about is telling them the domain name you want, and the hosting plan you want. I will take care of the rest! (If you sign up online, you can actually earn me referral money towards my website through Netfirms. FREE HOSTING- Netfirms also offers FREE hosting. The only implications are that your domain name would be "www.yourname.netfirms.com" and there would be advertisement banners at the top of your page. (I had this type of plan when I first started, and it was fine, until around Valentines Day, when the advertisements got a little "inappropriate" for my classroom website, so keep that in mind when you decide.) It's a good way to start though, if you're unsure, and then you can change over later to a higher package deal.

Website Package:
Each page I design on your site will be $10. I will design your pages with graphics, layouts, and content exactly as you describe them. If you're not satisfied, I will fix it until you are, free of charge!

Updates:
I will update your pages (announcements, dates, small changes, pictures) for $10 a month. This is unlimited updates. If you don't need any updates, you don't have to pay!

How do I sign up for Netfirms online?
First of all, thank you- if you do choose to do it online. It's very simple, and it earns me referral money towards my website! Here are the steps you need to take:

1. Click HERE to go to the Netfirms website.
2. Click on "Web Hosting" at the top of the page.
3. Under "Personal Hosting", "Netfirms Plus; $4.95/month" click on SIGN UP.
4. Type in the domain name you'd like for your website.
5. You'll be given an option for "Product Options" - you don't need any of those. Click "Continue"
6. Checkout!
7. You'll be sent a confirmation email- send me that email as soon as you receive it. I'll need that to get into your website to design it.

What if I want to update my own website after you create it?
That's fine by me! You'll need editing software, such as Microsoft Frontpage or Adobe Dreamweaver. Frontpage is being discontinued, but I consider it a semi-easy program for beginners, and you can still buy it. I found it here for $199.99, or if you're a teacher you can get the educational discount of $148.95. You can use the free trial of Frontpage before you purchase it, and play around to see if it's for you. You can also try a free trial of Adobe Dreamweaver, as well. I'll be happy to create the pages for you, and allow you to make the small changes yourself.

What are your credentials to website design?
I have been designing websites since 2001. I started with Geocities, and then bought Frontpage two years later. I taught myself everything I know, just by playing around with the programs. This past year, I started taking classes to attain a Website Designer Certification. I will be a Certified Web Designer as of December 2007. This is my first attempt at starting a website design business, which is why my prices are a lot cheaper than the professional companies you may have seen.

You live in NJ- how can we make this work if I'm all the way across the United States?
I understand your concern at the fact that we can't actually sit down and talk face to face about your expectations. However, I am available and willing to talk over the phone to discuss the specifics of how you'd like your site designed at any time. Payments can be made through PayPal- it's fast and safe, and I am PayPal Verified.

Do we have to pay before or after you design the pages?
I will need to be paid upfront, however....if you're not happy with the pages I create, I will make any changes you'd like for free until you are satisfied- guaranteed!

Can you design my page with the graphics you make at Golden Graphic Designs?
Yes, I will throw that in as a special thank you for your business. You may use any of my purchaseware or linkware sets if I'm designing your site.
